Tell us about your career track / journey...how did you get your start? Where are you now in 2022?

I started my career with Rolling Stone Magazine which was one of the coolest jobs to have when I was 22.

From there, I progressed to working for an event company and then a school. Even though, I completed my masters in Human Resource Management & Business, I was more drawn towards the marketing and consumer connect world. I learnt on the job and loved every minute of it.

In my late twenties, I was lucky enough to be a part of the start up world and co-founded a chat app with 3 friends. In true start-up spirit, I played a part in all the roles I could contribute to. It was a 4 year long journey of many learnings and unlearnings.

Even though, we had to shut down due to funding issues, I wouldn't trade that experience for anything. However, I believe the universe always has your back and strangely enough, unknowingly and due to other things going on in my life, I decided to write a book one day on my way to work. My thought process was millions of people do this, so I can too.

It is a poetry book called Behind The Light & has 80 poems, each based on a different emotion. It reached 7 on the Kindle best seller list, right below Khalil Gibran and that was a winning day for me. My career changed automatically and what was a passion for me since I was a teenager started growing to be a large part of my career.

Now in 2022, I write blogs, articles, website copy & poetry along with project wise marketing consultancy gigs that I take on. I am also putting together the concept for my next book and shall have that ready for the world later this year.

What advice would you give to other women about Healthy Eating?

BELIEVING IN YOURSELF 1) It is genuinely never too late to start from scratch.

2) Reach out. People do like to help people gain financial and emotional independence.

3) Use a spiritual practice - it could be anything that resonates with you.

Make this a priority in your daily life though - and watch the magic unfold.

EVERYTHING SHIFTING & COMING TOGETHER IN A MOMENT, OF EACH ONE OF THESE IN SOME WAY - YOU ARE A VITAL COMPONENT. BE KIND TO YOURSELF FIRST, WHEN YOUR PLAN FAILS AGAIN- KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT THE MOVIES, IT IS REAL LIFE - IT GOES UNREHEARSED.

What is your most influential/important/life-changing experience you had encountered in your career and what was the lesson you learned?

On my way to work one day, I randomly thought that maybe I do not want to go to the fancy glass building offices anymore and that maybe I should write a book. 60 days later, I finished that book.

My main learning from this was that 50% consistency & 50% determination is more than enough to spin your life around. I still struggle with this sometimes, but when I get that momentum going, wonderful things align.

What is the future of your brand/business in the next 3 years?

To be a worldwide best selling author & a global name in the field of poetry, writing and connecting people based on intrinsic human values & emotions.

What are 3 key marketing, branding, publicity tips, websites or resources you would recommend to other women?

1) Keep it simple, keep it real

2) Tell your story. There are more more people out there that will relate than you can possibly think of.

3) Ask your family, friends & acquaintances to share your work via social media and do the same for them. It is a worldwide community and despite the cons, we should capitalize on the pros.
